El día de ayer, domingo 10 de febrero, fue la entrega de los famosos premios Grammy, el más grande reconocimiento para artistas destacados en la industria musical. Como es costumbre desde el año 2000, la edición 2019 y sexagésima primera ceremonia de estos premios se llevó a cabo en el Staples Center en Los Ángeles.
La noche comenzó con la presentación de cinco reconocidas mujeres: la hostess del evento Alicia Keys, la ex primera dama Michelle Obama y las icónicas artistas Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez y Jada Pinkett-Smith. Fue un momento muy emotivo, pues las palabras de Michelle Obama conmovieron y motivaron al público. “La música nos ayuda a compartir una parte de nosotros, nuestra dignidad, nuestras tristezas, nuestras esperanzas y alegrías. Nos permite escucharnos los unos a los otros. La música nos muestra que todo eso importa, cada historia, cada voz, cada nota, en cada canción”, dijo la ex primera dama.
Algunos de los artistas más premiados fueron Kacey Musgraves con cuatro Grammy, incluyendo álbum del año y mejor álbum country; Childish Gambino con su canción “This is America”, que recibió tres Grammy, incluyendo grabación del año y canción del año, además de ser la primera canción de hip-hop en obtener esos premios; Lady Gaga con tres Grammy, dos de ellos por su canción “Shallow” del soundtrack de la película A Star Is Born; y Dua Lipa con dos Grammy, entre ellos, el de mejor artista nuevo.
